Access Log Manager
Find out about the Access Log Manager and the details that will be within it.
An access log is a comprehensive list of all the files which were accessed by the visitors of a given Internet site. Any file which was requested for whatever reason shall be listed, so if you have a single webpage with 3 embedded pictures, one video and one embedded text file, for example, the access log will contain a total of 6 entries - one for each of the 6 files that were accessed when the visitor opened the page. A log normally offers the file name and path, the date, in addition to the visitor’s Operating System, web browser and IP address. Occasionally you can also find the referrer Internet sites that sent the visitors to your site. The data an access log file contains is in human-readable plain text format. It may be processed by special software on a PC and used to prepare reports on the functionality of a website, aside from the web statistics that your hosting server may have produced.

Access Log Manager in Website Hosting
Our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel includes a section dedicated to various logs and the access logs are among them. As soon as you sign in to your
website hosting account and navigate to this section, you shall find a list of all the
domain names and subdomains which you have. All it takes to allow the generation of access logs is to press a button that'll be available next to each and every domain/subdomain. When the option is active, you will see a download link along with the file size so far, so you will be able to save the file to your laptop or computer and look at it or process it with some program. Enabling or disabling the logs takes effect immediately, so if you no longer require one, you can stop it with only a click from the exact same section of the CP. You will still have the ability to access the already created content by simply clicking on the Download link.

Access Log Manager in Semi-dedicated Hosting
Our advanced hosting platform will generate access logs for every site hosted inside a
semi-dedicated server account, provided that this function is permitted. All domain names and subdomains that you have will be listed within the Access/Error Logs section of the Hepsia Control Panel, that we provide with all the accounts, so if you would like our system to start producing logs for any of them, you should simply click on the compact button on the right side of the respective domain/subdomain and change the default Off option to On. You could disable this function anytime by following the exact same steps. You will find a Download link for each log in the same exact section of the Control Panel, so you can save the content produced by our system in .txt format with just a click. An existing log file could be downloaded even after the feature has been disabled, so you'll still be able to see the data which has already been generated.
