Dot NAME Domains

Set up in 2001, the Dot NAME top-level domain is the only one supposed to be for personal sites only. These domain names can be personal or fictitious names, aliases and/or other titles people are popular by. At the beginning, just 3rd-level registrations were possible, so if you planned to obtain john.doe.name, you would have to do that under .doe.name. In 2004, however, the registration procedures were liberalized and 2nd-level registrations were also permitted. Already taken 3rd-level domain names remained functional.

Through our company, you can order your .NAME domain for a period between 1 and 10 years. You will be able to alter the WHOIS details, to park your domain, to modify Custom DNS records, etc. You can also transfer an already registered domain to our firm if you have its EPP transfer key from the present domain registrar and we will renew it when the transfer has been finalized. There are no particular rules on who can book a dot NAME domain name, but in order to maintain the objective behind its creation alive, the dot NAME Registry organization may check who the Registrant is and if there is no link between the owner and the actual domain name, the registration might be challenged.
